I agree with Amorph with this. I believe people can discern quality from "noise". To have such a system would only serve to make for a game for those who wish to change their "rating".
I have yet to see a single reason why this would be a compelling feature.
If people think ideas are good, they can say so. If they don't, they can say so, or vote with their feet.
Couldn't agree more. I'm against the rating thing. Don't see a point, probably never will. If you don't want to read crap, than learn who writes the crap and steer clear of it.
Who was the guy who ALWAYS included a little avatar-type thing after his posts? He made them himself, and they always had his name, were about 30x60 pixels, and had something to do with the subject at hand (I remember one with the Apple logo and another with clouds). Those were always helpful for finding his posts.
it was a 5 letter name IIRC...
something with a C or a W

he posted in that crazy iWalk thread so you could search for that and maybe you will find it...
was it serrano? for some reason that seems familiar...
