    But I'm not a fan of drifting. It eats up the tires, and doesn't seem to be that much more effective than a proper, negotiated apex turn. (if at all) OK for "Best Motoring 5 Lap Battle," but otherwise drifting isn't the best idea.



    BTW: it's not a stupid name. "Drifting" is perhaps the best name for the activity. . . since you are, indeed, drifting. It's a term that has been used for a very long time in auto racing. Furthermore, it's something you do in abandoned parking lots or on Autocross tracks.
