This is a duplicate thread, if we were being sticklers to our posting guidelines it would be closed. The original t-shirt thread went on for about five weeks and had some amazingly wonderful designs by our members. We had a poll, we voted, a design was selected by an overwhelming majority.
Then nothing happened.
I am going to risk Brad's ire and bring that thread flinging back up to the top if at all possible. Please go read through the entire thread, it discusses the "confirmed" saying and much more.
Why re-invent the wheel?
Let's get that design made already.
Here, it originally started in the AppleOutsider forum...
Well you newbies, now you see the way things work around here!
"You are gonna have to fill out Request Form A, take that down to accounting. Get a copy and attatch it to to Funds Form C, and bring that back, where I will have to copy those for you. And then, they have to be mailed to management with Request Form B."
And by the time we got back from looking for the right form they'd fired everybody and there were a whole bunch of new employees standing around saying "Hey, you know what would be a good idea?".
I actually really dig the Gray ones, I'm tired of black shirts, I have like a million of them because everyone that designs a shirt for any webpage or anything always makes it white on black, yeah, gray is cool.

And more in tune with the webpage.
What about the grey colour and the design of the black one?
a friend and i just started a t-shirt business, and i'm sure i could convince him to temporarily thwart his creative ideas and just slap an ai logo on some shirts. what kind of price are we thinking? 50-100? seriously: like 10-20? less more? i'll have to go over the numbers with him, but it might be possible for us to not have to choose a logo. i could make a bunch of each, and have each person decide as they buy em. how many people are serious about actually throwing down money for an ai shirt? if we can build up some people who will definitely buy one, it should seal the deal.
i was over at ipodlounge.com, and they have cool tshirts for sale, and i think it'd be neat to have AI shirts. i'm pretty spymac is going to introduce some too. there can never be too many apple tshirts!
there was a post about this but i'm too lazy to help with the link of it so find it yourself

Free or nothing. \
Unfortunately, because AppleInsider is a business, you cannot sell products with its name on it. It has to be done by AppleInsider itself or via contract with AppleInsider.
And that said, I do not think AppleInsider will be ready to sell items like T-shirts any time soon. You can keep tossing around some ideas and even agree on a design, but they won't be produced quite yet.
That's about all I can officially say on the matter of production and sale. If you have questions about why this is, please contact me privately and do not post your questions or comments about such matters publicly in this thread or any other. Any such comments will be removed.

Given the fact that this has gone on for the better part of a year and nothing has happened, it might be easier to design and iron on your own t-shirt.
It's not for profit, for your own personal use, your own design, so I doubt you'd get into any trouble.
Ya, mean if somebody laid out the artwork in a scaled set of printable files and covertly passed the artwork around to people on the QT? Like THAT? Sounds like fun to me....I just want to spot somebody on video at a Macworld wearing an AI shirt.

And in case you're too lazy to click that...
The image below was the one that won the competition.
Nothing's going to happen....again.

"Can't I just ask management?"
"I don't think we have a form for that."

i'd buy 1 at 15 or 20ish

Something that would last few years.
I love this one. I'd definately buy one.
Get all these designs together, pick one, so at least that part would be over, then we can work on getting it made
