You're saying the most decorated officer in the US Army since Eisenhower comes off as a dork?
fran i don't disagree with his qualifications and history. but yes, yes, a thousand times yes, the guy comes off sounding like a d-o-r-k. i can only attribute it to the fact that he's not used to the political arena where every word and phrase uttered is dissected and taken out of context at every turn.

I have to agree. I saw Gen Clark speak maybe half a dozen times in NH and I was unimpressed with his stump speech. However, when he got into Q&A he went into General mode and was much more likable and came off much better. Clark isn't going to be the VP, however he will make one hell of a Secretary of State or DoD.
Edwards isn't going to get the VP nod as much as the general Democratic population wants him. Kerry doesn't like Edwards. The NY Times had a great article about it before Super Tuesday. If I can find it, I'll get a link.
Kerry and his handlers are not idiots. They would never put Hillary on the ticket because then the election becomes a referendum on Hillary and not on Bush where they want the focus.
The VP is going to come from either Ohio, Missouri, Florida, or Pennsylvania.
