yeah but they haven't done that before...that I can remember, so it's a new format for their front page.
It would be nice if it wasn't so fast. Some of the images with lots of type are hard to read before they change to the next one.
I guess they could have an asterix beside it, and some explanation at the bottom... "we apologize for the refresh speed... it's being powered by a G5, and we can't get the whore to slow down"

Would I get paid? HAHAHA ok not funny, I go back into my hole now.
shifting from advertising Filemaker to Powermacs was quite necessary. i recently noticed, when checking out apple's homepage, a non-Apple person would have a hard time realizing they sell computers!... their entire home page consisted of the pepsi promotion, filemaker, iLife, and miniPods. no mention of computers at all.
however, their choice to do it now, rather than waiting a week (or two), and update their page with the new PowerMacs kinda worries me. makes me think it'll be longer than a week or even a couple weeks before they have anything substantial to update it with.
on the other hand, maybe they're just trying to swindle a few more people into buying the current PowerMacs, before they release the new ones.
I say Powerbook G5's are on the way. Think about it. Apple advertises the extreme power of the G5 again and then simply updates the homepage with "Now, the power of a G5 in a small 1 inch package."

I dunno, I give you a week in the hole until you look like that. You're young, so maybe a week or two extra to get the narsty facial hair working...

It actually took me well over a minute to figure that joke out. I'm like "wtf, that's one of the shorter images, is he stupid?!"
I'm just going to headbutt my desk and have a nap now.
And ast3r3, I just freakin' KNEW you'd be here immediately after I posted that. heh heh
Utilize the bug/inability to your advantage.
