It was an average episode with some great highlights, I think. Some of the stuff with those Hollywood execs and the military was a little over the top, but at least it ended on a high note (which I won't spoil).
Seems like they're really letting Butters have it this season: his unfortunate ninja adventure, the emotional trauma of last week's episode, now this!
it was so abserd that I laughed about 1/3 as much as a normal episode, butters is soooooooooo well....letus just say he needs kennys old gig, DIE ALL THE TIME, as for the ending...It is verry much worth the less than mediocor first 25 min.
Me too. There is this weird jadedness going around. people not liking South Park episodes lately. (I'm not dissing anyone that doesn't like them, just noticing it more often).
The only thing that I haven't liked this season and thought was too campy was Mel Gibson's Daffy Duck lunacy.
My housemates also are disappointed. With this season. I can't figure out why. (No one ever defines it more than "it was weak" or "it sucked".
I see less change in quality than change in viewer's opinions. is it too high expectations? Are people growing out of South Park?
(My house is turning into Family Guy snobs as they watch teh DVDs incessantly. It was a fine show. But still.
I do think that they're trying too hard to editorialize news items through their show. I enjoy the episodes more when there's not a "I learned something today" moment at the end.
I thought last night's episode was hilarious, and certainly an improvement on Awesom-O or The Passion of the Jew. The show's characterisation of Mr. "Jefferson" was brilliant.
I couldn't stop laughing last night. The entire Thriller spoof had me rolling on the floor. And once again Trey finds the right moral issue. Jefferson didn't molest any of the kids, but what he got chastised for was ignoring his own kid. That's the angle that you never hear, but it's the right one.

Me too...I'd love it if Michael and Blanket Jefferson became regular characters on the show (with moustache and mask).
Well, that was a great episode. I'm not sure I entirely agree with the "I learned something", but I laughed my ass off none the less.
Now the bad new....
That was the last new episode until October.
