[quote]I bought an original PowerBook G4-500 in Feb. 2001. How much of my original $3,499 do you think it is worth now?

Duh. Computers are the worst investment EVER next to automobiles. OF COURSE they depreciate away to nothing. I bought a 4 grand Artemis tower RIGHT BEFORE the B&W towers were released (DOH! ) (I also bought the PB 5300ce (what a piece...let me tell ya) right before the PB revisions that were 9 millions times better, so I have a history of not holding out long enough...) I would be lucky to pay someone to take my Artemis now...

[quote]$500 difference is a "draw"? damn, are you wiping your backside with $100 bills??? lol. i dunno about you, but $500 is a HUGE deal of difference.

....if you are between 12 and 16 years old....

But seriously, $500 IS small change w.r.t. to Mac/PC margins (at least IMHO, see above posts about pros and shelling out $$$)

whatever dude. you are high. $500 is NOT small change in regards to computers and their marketing price points. doesn't matter what level user is buying what machine. lemme guess, you've bought into the "elitest" theory that b/c you buy mac, you are instantly "beautiful-wealthy-upperclass-snotty-sophisticated-money-is-no-object-glamorous" by association? get over yourself. and your bank account.
