I'm not ribbing Fellowship for posting it. I'm ribbing the idiots that take the time to come up with this stuff, and even more so the idiots that attach some significance to these things.
I like this kind of stuff, because it speaks to the human propensity for pattern recognition.
It's kind of like our problems with fat in our diets. What was once an evolutionary necessity becomes a liability when something once in short supply becomes readily available.
So the ability to recognize patterns of information on say, the Serengeti, very helpful for tracking food and edible plants, has the potential to become an overwhelming freak-out when confronted with our endless sea of tech empowered info.
It reminds of the "Bible Code" stuff that was all the rage a while back. I saw a website where the authors were able to pull amazingly pertinent phrases and names out of "Moby Dick" using the same techniques that had been used with the Bible. The main thing was they had a great many letters to work with so computers made it a snap to find examples of "linked" letters that spelled out pretty much anything you like.
Yeah I was always fond of 23. Reminds me of the band/cult Psychic TV.
It always makes me think more of Spiral Tribe...didn't know much about Psychic TV until after I'd gotten into Spiral Tribe / Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia in the early days of rave / techno.
Speaking of Psychic TV, did you see that Throbbing Gristle are reforming? Also, apparently Genesis P-Orridge and his wife are in the process "turning into the same person through surgery and hormone treatments."

(sorry for the thread rot Fellows)
Numbers are numbers...
x/x+10
x*0+11
if x is a two digit number MN and |M-N|=1 then
if M > N
MN-NM+2=11
if N>M
NM-MN+2=11
What other tricks do I know?
