Yeah, but the 1934 Leslie Howard version is the best. The 1917 silent film has some great swordplay, but is missing the fast verbal banter that *makes* the character.
Yeah, I 'have' seen that version - but not recently. Can't remember it too well.
Great color and set design in the most recent version though, don't you think?
When I read the book, I was surprised to find some racist stuff. Do you remember anything like that?
