Anybody here ever have a hangover that lasted two days?
yeah mine did... from friday night to sunday morning... I tried and go out sat night but nah was still woozy then woke up sunday morning gah it was bad.
Quite, quite awful at first. Theatres are black places with no windows where it's generally impossible to find the light switch unless you have a diploma. There were no house lights or stage lights but lots of nasty white fluorescent tubes instead.
Please imagine.
We had to be out in x minutes to allow the next people to get in. Everyone was a bit fractious and ginger because a get-out follows the last night, which normally entails drinking to annihilation.
This set was quite simple, thankfully, and when the ibuprofen kicked in, I was laughing.
I thought it was standard theatrical practice to have a hangover during loadout.
In my old age, I don't drink enough to be hungover anymore, but I remember that the sure cure for one back in the day was a big greasy burger and a Coke. God knows why it worked, it just did.
Carol- I had the same problem with gin. It was my first big (and last big- I never wanted to do that again) hangover when I was about 19. I couldn't bear the thought of the stuff. A few years ago, doing yard work on a blazing hot day, my friend came out with a tray of gin and tonics loaded up with shaved ice made from lime infused water. God were they good.
But on the whole, these days I stick to a glass of wine. I have two days off a week, I don't need to waste one laying in a dark room moaning. Well, not for that reason, anyway...

It is a good thing it wasn't too complex...
