How long until we start getting developer feedback on CI and CV? The concept is great and hopefully so is Apple's implementation.

Sometimes the utility of an API all boils down to how logically objects and function parameters are layed out. Also key is documentation, sample code, and integration with an IDE.

    ... eagerly awaiting feedback.

I'm certain — because the evidence is there — that Apple is doing the same thing with office-style functionality that they're doing with images and video. But they're not going to trumpet that until they're good and ready (if they ever do). Faced with competition from Apple, Adobe whines and goes home. Faced with competition from anyone, Microsoft declares open, all-out war. So you'll see "Core Office" developing quietly, completely unhyped. And it might always remain that way, with Apple leaving the obvious competitors to third parties.

But I was thinking along these lines earlier: Office functionality is so basic at this point that... well, why bother with dedicated apps? If you can play video with 0 lines of code in Interface Builder, why not build a word processor / spreadsheet / etc. with 0 lines of code in Interface Builder? Obviously, you wouldn't get Word with 0 lines of code, but a lot of specialized, mutually compatible solutions that can all use .DOC format? Hmmm.
