The new Communism: Code Word Progressivism

in General Discussion edited January 2014
There is a new communism that threatens the free world. I hides behind the moniker ?Progressivism?. There are many in the left who are, piece by piece, eroding our way of life from behind this mask. They are trying to destroy our identity as a people. They move to take God out of our public places, branding Christmas decorations at city hall as a violation of our constitution and wanting ?God? removed from The Pledge of Allegiance?. They several years ago took the Washington Birthday and Lincoln Birthday observances away from us to be replaced by a generic ?Presidents Day? This takes away the direct remembrance of those two great men who did so much to make us what and who we are. You see, the plan of these new communistsis to to have us FORGET WHO and WHAT we are so that they can mold us into generic members of ?the international community?. They want us the be ?Citizens of the World? first and Americans second. They defend the gay agenda and the abortion agenda and the porn agenda. They file at our morals trying to convince us that homosexual marriage is a a good thing then they brand we who oppose such nonsense as ?haters? and ?intolerant?. Americans must stay vigil against these fiends. Their desire to to destroy America from within by dissolving its inner fiber.

    You really are unbelievable . . .

I hope to god that when you hit puberty you will look inward and question your utterly idiotic worldview. . . .does it not strike you as odd that people in here actually believe that the views that you portray might be some more intelligent person posting in some kind of parody?!

. . . a parody of the most ludicrous of all reactionary ideas wrapped in in each post . . .

I hope that when grow up you wiil learn how to think

That racial slur was out of line. Why must your post be full of hate? The left is so bitter and mean spirited. This bitter nastyness will contribute the the left's defeat in November.

I am not an expert of Progressivism, but let me point out that Communism was against homosexuality and porn. Communists also pushed very hard on the patriotic thing (remember Gagarine, the olympic sports ...)

    Your comparison is irrelevant.

Rasist slur? Is that worse than talking about the "gay agenda"? And I am sorry to say this but discussing with you is beyond right/leftwinged. This is a sane/notsosane thing.

Besides my snoppy euro-cultural reference to Gay Niggers From Outher Space is obviously lost on you.

Okay lets discuss then Common Man.

I have read your post with interest and have some questions for you.

    1) Yoy say that many in the left is eroding our way of life. Would you please cast some light on what our way of life is? Does that include liberty and freedom to chose the kind of life you want.

    2) Your use of "We". Is this group of we americans as a whole or someone who share a certain belief? If the first do you want to keep the freedom of choice away from them by denying the right to choose to live as gay, to take on example. And if its the second do this group take superiourity over other groups and have the right to enforce its moral views upon everybody else.

    3) God. Your use of god, does that include the jewish and the muslim god as well?

I accept the gay life style for those who choose it. In this way I am more open minded than many. What I oppose is the gay "political" agenda. I do not accept gay marriage nor do I accept special privilages for the gay population. When I speak of the American way of life, I refer to our identity as Americans. We are not like the Europeans and we know it. We left Europe along time ago. We work hard and we drive big cars and we eat big steaks. We should be open to all religions and all should be free to practice their faith. This includes Christians! We are the ones who are pushed away. A Muslim celbration in a city park is to "enlighten" people, but a Christian celebration is viewed as wrong. Separation of Church and State means that the Gov will not dictate religion. It does not mean that religion has to be banished from the public square. This is what bothers me.

    it attained funny status again!!!!

This is so unbelievable . . . HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Do your parents actually think like this?!

Let me picture this: a big fat guy (fat because he eats "big steaks") driving a big gas-guzling SUV actually thinking to himself . . . "I eat big steaks and am driving a big car: I am being American" - - - you can not believe how pathetic that is . . . someday you will go outside of your little neighborgood and see that there is a real world beyond your picket fence . . . . or at least, I hope that you will

    And yes: religion should not be a Public issue . . . that is different than people-being religious-in-public . . .

You are a bigot in more ways than one, who pretends to be a peace-loving-freedom loving "Christian" . . . look at yourself and start to really think critically . . . do it now and puberty mightt not be so painful . .

Oh, I don't know if there is any point to this...

Homosexuality is no a "lifestyle" and it is not "chosen". "Special privileges" is right wing scare code for "the rights everybody else enjoys as a matter of course". Or did you think not being fired arbitrarily, not being denied housing, not being harassed at your place of work, and not being forbidden to have a family are all "special"?

Christians enjoy an overwhelming numerical and cultural advantage in America. The idea that they are being "discriminated" against because some Americans would rather not live in a theocracy is silly on the face of it, grotesque in its applications.

Are you, or anyone you know, in any way whatsoever, constrained from practicing your faith? Are the churches being boarded up? Are your prayer meetings being raided, you Bibles being seized, your brethren being persecuted? Please.

Your attempt to portray the reactionary right-wing values you espouse as being somehow "under siege" or its adherents as "persecuted" is simply the political strategy of some cynical people in high places.

The thing is, you're supposed to be smart enough to not take it seriously.

You are so ridiculous. Is not an ideal of "communism" that all people tend towards the same material worth? The trend in the US is the complete opposite, for example in the 1950s, the pay differential between CEOs and low paid workers was a ration of 9:1. In the 1960s, this increased to 25:1 in the 1960s,...it rose to 150:1 in the 1980s, 400:1 in the late 1990s, and ratios are now as high as 1200:1 and still accelerating. Does your rationale mean that America was a "communist" nation in the 1950s?

Our way of life huh. Yikes. When it comes to improvements in "our way of life", it has been progressives who have contributed the most towards the freedoms that Americans enjoy more than any other nation on earth. Would you prefer "our way of life around the time of the American Civil War"? Segregation, lynchings, slavery, no civil rights for certain minorities etc? During the time of George Washington, only 4% of Americans were allowed to vote.....etc etc etc etc.....

"God" only appeared in our Pledge of Allegiance" and on our paper money in 1954. I would have no problem with the word "God", if it was taken in the same meaning of what Jefferson, Adams, Madison etc meant by "God", Unfortunately, that is not the case regarding the large majority of those who want to retain "God" in our Pledge of Allegiance and paper currency, who take God to identify with the "Christian God" solely......which sounds like a violation of the separation of state and specific religion. Jefferson et al were NOT Christians, btw.

It was the Nixon Administration that instigated Presidents' Day. Those Commie Republicans huh?

    They defend the gay agenda

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, With Liberty and Justice for all. All, btw, means everybody, not an arbitrary selection of folks who share your opinions and value systems.

    and the abortion agenda

If you want to prevent abortion, everyone should know by now that the way not to accomplish your aim is by prohibition, ie making abortion illegal.

    Quote:

    and the porn agenda.

If you don't like porn, then dont look at it! It is that simple. As with abortion, making it illegal will only provide profits for criminals, without making it go away.

    Quote:

They file at our morals trying to convince us that homosexual marriage is a a good thing

Exactly why is gay marriage such a bad thing? Or would you prefer gay partners to "live in sin"?

    Quote:

then they brand we who oppose such nonsense as ?haters? and ?intolerant?.

because "intolerant" is what they are. Can you suggest a alternative synonym?

Fiends huh? That sounds like language of an intolerant , even hateful person.

    Quote:

From the content of your posts, the type of "inner fiber" that you refer to sounds as if the best place for it is a bath of concentrated nitric acid.

I hate to bring this up now

    BUT

America's inner fiber is GONE; it is changing into something else, and that something else will take time to materialize.

What the right, conservatives, Chrsitans, etc. don't understand is "the homos", getting the plaques taken down, etc., WILL NOT lead to "judgement on our country".

They are the judgement---this is good and evil coming into maturity together.
