and thus we have come full circle, I am not on a "pro" budget but I will not buy an AiO, manny other geeks feel the same when looking at apple desktops, my answer is save extra for a PM (which I am doing) but may others will not.

AiO iMac? do you know something we don't? I can't wait to see how the new iMac will be.....
The only other 20" panel with 16ms reponse time that I could find was the newly announced LL-T2015 from Sharp. Their price? $1299. But its aspect ratio is 4:3.
I rarely say this but Apple's price seems to be on the mark this time.
Imagine that.

Edit: rethought the contents
Mitsubishi Japan has a 19" panel with 12ms response time priced around a $800. If history is any indication, it will be available in the U.S. by the end of the year.
No he's pretty well correct. LCDs don't handle no-native resolutions very well and good luck finding a lot of games that support widescreen. I've always seen it as one of their serious flaws.
I don't understand that. Game makers insist that we use the latest and greatest graphics cards, but they (sometimes) won't even support wide LCDs.
Gaming will eventually all be on consoles and soon wide screen TVs will be commonplace, at least among enthusiasts. Game developers need to get on the ball.

But chopping off the sides is a good compromise.
