i'm in the "what the hell do you need color for?" camp. seriously, if you really need photos, colorful games, and a pretty interface at all times, get a freakin ibook or powerbook. its not like you sit there and actually look at your ipod 90 percent of the time anyways. but hey, go ahead and whine.
If we only bought the things we NEEDED then OS upgrades wouldn't come that often, we'd use Office98 (or earlier), etc. Many of you forget you didn't need to get an iPod, yet you did. Once a color version is out, you'll get it. All those naysayers will be the first in line at the Apple Store.
Same with the Apple tablet, same with the Apple shampoo and the Apple toaster.
