The widescreen comment is nonsensical. Apple doesn't hold a monopoly on widescreen panels.I can imagine lots of ways to spend the price difference which could get that vision thing going.

Sorry, I can't help pricking at this yoga flight stuff once in a while.

    what is "yoga flight"

widescreen - hmmm, maybe you could recommend DVI lcd widescreen displays that are equivalent in quality and style to Apple's ??

Apple displays using same panels as Benq, etc - unfortunately, i will file your point for future reference, i don't have enough info to argue convincingly on this?

Gon, whats yer setup? I'm curious you didn't describe your displays in your sig

The Apple 23" and 30" HD displays look a bit pricey until you

start comparing specs with other high quality TFT displays.

The resolutions and dpi specs are quite impressive.

I still have not found any display that looks more attractive.

Certainly, you can save a considerable amount if your needs do not

    require this kind of perfection.

The Apple 20" display may be quite attractive, but there's quite a bit

    of competition in that range.

The average user is going to be fine with any good 17" or 19" display

and those come in every configuration and price range.

What I hope to see in the near future is a remote controlled HDTV tuner module designed to compliment both the Mac mini, iMac G5 and the Cinema Displays.

This remote might also be incorporated to work with iDVD and iTunes,

therefore giving the user complete control of their media center.

The other option for those who are not so "pixelated"

    is the HDTV/PC/LCD

both models shown offer "picture in picture"

So you can catch your favorite game while watching that download.

I must admit that for $1332.00, this Philips 23" model

has considerable bang for the buck!

AND... this 26" HDTV/PC Flat Screen model at $1699. offers a lot for the same price as an Apple 23" diplay

    indeed on the Philips bases!

but a wall mount would take care of that problem.
