Bizarre. It's not as though the cat isn't out of the bag. There was a whole article in the New York Times about it on March 2, going so far as to describe the sample 40' cube that Harry Macklowe had erected between midnight and 6 AM so he could visualize the effect.
That would sure be awsome ive seen the glass staircases in the Chicago store and there so cool. I hope it gets done before mid july because im visiting NYC this summer. It would be so awsome if i was there for the grand opening!
That would be great, but as of today's date there are no job listing for a 5th Avenue store. It usually takes 3-6 months from the first listing of job openings to the opening of the store. In the case of a huge project like this, construction delays could add a lot more time. I'm looking for a major announcement out of Apple on the anniversary of the retail stores first opening (late May) and this store or a Paris location would fit the bill. In the past, the Ginza and the Regent Street stores have been part of a mid-November rollout and this would also fit nicely in with that trend. If so, expect job listings in May or June.
they had great renderings up a few weeks ago before they started the demolition. Also probably before Steve Jobs had himself a vein popping eye bulging fit when he read/ or the random apple employee saw this thread.
Hey Steve,
We love ya bud but you have to lay off on the Secrecy Protective Field.
