I hope you haven't misunderstood me. What I meant by my earlier remark was simply that I think it is a good thing that the AI administration has asked for input on this matter. What I don't like is the idea that however "we" all vote is what y'all will do. I think y'all should take our feedback, consider it, and then do what you think is appropriate, which I hope is what you were all going to do anyway.
There's really no way for the AI admins to win (if that is their goal). Everyone has entirely different thoughts on how the place should be run and if you don't follow it each individual will use words like "incompetent blundering".
A reasoned independent decision to these people is only a good one if it is in line with what they want in the first place.
If you do nothing you're an idiot.
If you do something on your own you're an idiot.
If you have a vote and go by that you're an idiot.
I suppose people are just bitching in this thread because their choice is losing the vote. Why not hack some accounts and start another revolution?
Personally after thinking this over time and time again what I'd like to do is get rid of PoliticalOutsider and heavily moderate every single political and religious thread. The second someone makes a post that the staff deem to be inappropriate or in breach of the posting guidelines it would be locked. No warnings, no removing selective posts, and certainly no second chance to start the discussion over.
Plus the offender would still be on the loose - you'd be essentially taking action against the thread not the miscreant. Kind of collective punishment.
I agree. The problem stems from lack to action taken against those few who have no consideration for the other fellow.
Oh God. Just ban the perp for progressively longer periods. Like 1 week ---> 1 month ----> 1 year. It's not difficult, okay? And I never post under the influence of tequila. Okay I'm lying.

Yes, but do you have lasers? I want tequila posters with lasers.
- there is nice people that from time to time are becoming very angry and who need to cool down.
You're right. It certainly isn't easy. Personally I have no problem with people being passionate about what they believe in - so long as they aren't insulting to those who do not share such reality, nor do I have a problem with 4 letter words, nor do I mind someone being angry when he has a justifiable reason for being so.
The insulting post have one thing in common, they would NEVER say what they posted to my face. That's the distinguishing element.

Also what do we do when at least one of the professional borderliners happens to be a moderator?

Don't forget to write
Yes if enough people forget to write around here, what will be the point of the forums?
You should look at the top ten posters and see how many of them have been banned or no longer post here. It is a telling trend.
