I was amused ... sitting here listening to Niel Cavuto on Fox News ....

he actually quoted "AppleInsider.com" as a source for a blurb about Apple (and the iPod overstock rumor).

So AppleInsider.com is no longer a rumor site ... it's now a legitimate "Source" for news

I would think that having a decent supply of iPods is a good thing, when you are about to introduce an iPod recycling program, with 10% off when you buy a new iPod. Demand is likely to increase now.

Smart business move on Apple's part, but the media and the rumor sites seldom see the whole picture.

The problems mentioned weren't that Apple had caught up with demand. That wouldn't have been negitive. The reports also said that demand was down.

That could also be the reason Apple announced the recycle program and the 10% discount.

As much as I love and respect AppleInsider.com, being a source of info on FOX News does not make one a legitimate source in of itself
