Right. This is a solid feature set that justifies the price difference here in Europe:
23" Apple display: 1568.99 euros
24" Dell display: 1692.79 euros
The Dell is almost 124 euros more expensive.
You are right. I forgot the price hike. I got mine when they were <1300e regular price. Also one of my friends just bought one off US or UK eBay, can't remember which. The new European price is well in line with the feature set, and the rest of the market, but the eyecatching value is gone... if 2405fpw was not available when I got my display then I would surely have went 20". I can't believe folks in the US have gotten this display for under $900 in sale. When are we going to see competition like that? \

Remove all your trade laws, and wonder will ensue
I just watched a show on how trade subsidies and laws are causing Germany to tear itself back apart. If they just removed all the rules, things would be fine.

Oookay if you say so
Thanks for all the advice. Looks like I will end up with the 23 incher. Thanks for all the advice.
BTW I might end up rearranging the buying order. Will the current Mac mini be able to drive the 23 at a decent level (We are not talking Doom here. More in the league of the latest Myst)?

It was a European documentary, not American propaganda
Some of the rules they had were really stupid - minimum wage is different depending on where you locate your headquarters of your corporation, for example, so anyone who is not re-locating their hq to East Germany is going out of business (including small businesses that can't afford to relocate)
