I commend the re-thread. Good use of searching if you wanted to add your 2 cents.
To add, I always have the browse section expanded. I usually type the first few letters of an artist's name to jump to that band and then whittle it down by album from there. Then again, I usually listen to albums.
Now that iTunes 5 has folders though I have tons more playlists for all the albums I frequently listen to.
