Somehow, my Mac time was set a month AHEAD (it was April already). So I set the month correctly to March.
Now when I start up EV, I get the message that says I've had EV for more than 90 day (?!?!?!) and Captain Hector dont just remind me that it would be nice to pay... he comes out and DESTROYS your ass in a few seconds... nothing to do about it, cant kill him, not even damage him.
I also paid for my EV Nova code last Friday and still haven't gotten my serial number

You can kill him by blowing up escorts around him. You can also kill Frandall that way: get 6 leviathians and blow 'em up around him.
<strong>I also paid for my EV Nova code last Friday and still haven't gotten my serial number</strong><hr></blockquote>If you read your confirmation e-mail you will see: [quote]Orders received before Noon, Eastern Time, will be processed by Noon on the next business day.<hr></blockquote>That means if you ordered after noon on Friday, you won't get your code until noon on Tuesday.
Regarding the clock thing, that's a measure Andrew implemented to keep people from turning back the clock to keep playing. He started trying that with Snapz Pro X and has included it in all products released since. Tee hee.
I started playing EVN for the first time largely as a result of this thread and am enjoying it immensely so forgive a silly question. How do I get a weapon/ missile license which i need to buy a bigger ship.? Can I do this in unregistered mode?
i have 2 questions here. i picked up the mission from sigma shipping, and they said i'd be able to buy their ships, but when i went to look, none of their ships were there. also, has anyone made a map of the hypergates and all of the links? i know it would be a spoiler, but im just curious to see where all of them go
I assume you actually completed that first mission, correct? The Sigma Shipyards vessels are only available on certain planets. Try Earth. Also, to add a touch of realism to the game, Nova randomly picks if certain ships (particularly used and upgraded ones) are available each time you land. So, sometimes a Leviathan will be available, sometimes not. Just take off and land a couple times until you see one. The same applies to upgrades.
Actually, I believe you are mistaken. This IS a bug. With the Vell-os Javelin, if you launch your three darts, land on a planet, recall the darts, and land again, you get a message asking if you want to "meditate" to regenerate the darts that were lost in battle. If you click yes, you mysteriously get 3 more darts. You can keep doing this until you have 20 little darts behind you. </strong><hr></blockquote>
Doesnt seem to work for me. I tried landing and pressing ctrl+c and also just c but nothing happens.
seems to happen sporadically. I follow those exact steps and it usually doesnt work. It worked twice after randomly landing, deploying, recalling, etc etc.
Just finished the Vell-os thread (awesome!) and am looking for more. Anyone know if I need to start a new pilot, or are any of the other threads available after the Vell-os?

Try leaving the system and coming back, with your darts deployed...recall them when you are about to land.
<strong>Now.. if I could just find them Opals </strong><hr></blockquote>Do you really want to know? It's more fun, I suppose, if you find it yourself... but I can go ahead and tell you if you're desperate for those credits.

Of course, they do come back anyway.

Ring a bell for anyone else?
Keep an eye out fo the Ambrosia staff.
<strong>BTW who else thinks the opening music is freaking AWESOME? Very well suited to the game.</strong><hr></blockquote>
The music is "Mars", from Gustav Holst's "Planets Suite" (1918).

Land on planet.
Leave planet.
Launch all 3 Darts.
Land on planet.
Leave planet.
Recall all 3 Darts. (default key is option-c, not control-c)
Land on planet.
You should then be greeted by the meditation dialog.
Weird
Once you've started a main thread, you can't start another. So, yes, you need to create a new pilot.
