One guy who supposedly works for MS says that full support for EFI will only come in Vista 64bit editions. This guy said Vista probably wouldn't run on any 32bit Apple computer because of no CSM.
Of course, MS could always add EFI to Vista 32bit to get it running on Core Duo Apple computers. I would almost expect them to, especially if there isn't much work involved on their end.
I still get stuck with a "catalog error" later on while XP finishing installation, but several people have reasonably well-working setups now. Performance is not as good as it will get, but much better than PPC versions to date.
I can install Windows 98 (not SE) in just a few minutes, but it too has problems after its final reboot for me. XP installs to the reboot point in just a few minutes as well.
