You say that, but distinctly remember hitting F12 to look at the dashboard calendar, and thinking 'Wednesday the 22nd - sounds plausible'. This image would have been more noteworthy if your story had been consistent, but I now doubt its authenticity. I look forward to seeing another image of this invitation, or being proved wrong on the 22nd.
Riiiiggghhhhttttt... OK, so I edited after you said that. I think you might have a time machine... "Last edited by applemax on 02-05-2006 at 07:29 PM" and it was spelling, i spelt febuary wrong. so i just abbreviated it
That's the time stamp for the second edit you did to cover your tracks.
Last night in your original post you had the date as the 22nd. I remember, because the first thing I did was check to see what day of the week that was. It was a Wednesday, so that made sense for a special event.
Now today you changed it (lamely) to Friday (a day Apple would never use) and then lied about it.
It's shit like this that makes AI the laughing stock it is.
Just hang in there AppleMax, time will tell who is making a fool of themselves, you or....
If your for real, time is on YOUR side my friend. If your not, well then you won't mind takin' a beating here. You must have been expecting that he he.
I got a feeling you are for real, but who knows besides you right?
The invite looks for real. If someone was doing a fake they wouldn't do an invite in a way that Apple has never done before..... THINK !!!
Sincerely
Zab the Fab
Well, if by "a way that Apple has never done before" you mean "amateurish graphic design" I guess you might have a point.
Maybe it goes with the Intel switch. Apple will adopt its bold "ugly initiative" across all its publicity and hardware. New slogan: "Our products are so good we let bored 15 years old design them!"
Ah, just found out summin interesting. The date is Feb 24th. Accoriding to wiki thats Steve's birthday!
Perhaps it is a super secret birthday party invite. Let's all go to Steve J's house for cake and ice cream. There will be ponies and Woz will be there!!

Oh come on guys, enough with the bitter fruit (pun intended). We all LOVE this stuff come oooooonnn THAT'S WHY WE ARE ALL HERE )))
We know going in that we're gonna get some right and otheres we'll miss. I would suggest taking it with a resemblance of spine, with a high held head.
Otherwise you really just make it tooo much fun for the hoaxer. Don't you think he loves to sit and watch us all whine he he?
I could see it go either way. Perhaps Apple was really surprising us all, but on the other hand why not do it on their 30'th anniversay, again, perhaps they had two events planned with 2 months between, it's happened before.
Let's just move along and wait for whatever will come next... in this wonderfull world of Apples !
And dear Hoaxer, thanks for the rush kid
Sincerely
Zab the Fab
...and remember.... be carefull out there....it's a RUMOR SITE YA' KNOW !
Even though Apple Max's post is a fake, is there a chance that Apple will announce the next Intel machines (MacBook, Mac Mini, etc.) as soon as the end of the month? I was thinking that it might take a little longer than that, but if not, WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!
Perhaps it is a super secret birthday party invite. Let's all go to Steve J's house for cake and ice cream. There will be ponies and Woz will be there!!
Apparently Applemax wasn't a lurker here for very long. Otherwise he/she'd know that posting false (read: FABRICATED) rumors and getting caught red-handed is tantamount to treason. The blacklist never ends, my friend.
Speculation is fine. People might think you're an idiot, but at least they'll know you aren't trying to say you actually know something. Make pictures. Say, "hey, this is a mockup of..." We're cool with that.
Just don't come up with stupid stuff and get caught at it.

Great news! Steve can land his jet there when he hops back and forth to Anaheim.
