If the new products aren't impressive will Jobs be booed?

Since Apple themselves is super-hyping up MacWorld, if Jobs and company don't deliver, will he (Apple) be booed on stage?

My feeling is yes. If fact, he was probably very close to getting booed at the last MacWorld.

Any thoughts either way??

Thanks

Maybe, but I think his RDF Deflector is to powerful.

I hope so. Even the RDF has limits.

I haven't heard andy boos the last few years. I really thought they'd boo him last July, but they didn't.

Because of last July, they might boo this time if not happy.Thing is, that most of the attendants are media. They wouldn't boo.

I'd throw my digital cam at Steve, but he'd just THROW IT BACK AT ME!

I suspect this is something of a self-fulfilling prophesy taking shape. People expect too much in the first place. Then when reality sets in, it's a big disappointment, falls into the real doom-and-gloom stuff. Now people aren't so much asking if people will boo but rather, suggesting that people boo. And all this before we know what's being announced. Oh, that's right, we've decided we already know.

The last time there was booing was Macworld in Boston. People were very upset. The size of our expo center wasn't the only reason that Jobs won't go back to Boston to give a keynote speech. In fact, that's one of the reasons Seybold is now in NY.

I do not think he will get booed because has pointed out the media is what really dominates the audience

however the media hsa to report what they saw and if they are disapointed twice in a row with this much hype then steve jobs will be torn to shreds and apple as well

but i do not think this will happen

What happened in Boston? Why was he booed?

I think Apple could financially withstand another MWNY 01 but it would suck for everybody. I KNOW this will not happen given the Apple confidence.

Jobs wasn't really booed. The booing didn't start until Gates appeared on the big screen. It was more a boo for MS and the alliance then against Jobs.

I think there will be more third party products at this Expo. With all the hype of course, reality can never be as good as one imagination. So,Apple will get e-mails,letters from users, stock holders etc..It will be all over the news. How its hard-core base-line customers were disappointed.

If the rumors and photos going around the net are true...Apple CEO Steve Jobs in Lingerie and make-up.Looking pretty damn good.Even Bill Clinton

quoted as saying..Gosh even Monica was'nt that sexy...Gore stated that is why he created the Internet. For the High-End creative individuals. So on Mon. MWSF dont be surprised when they play Y.M.C.A. ....

The booing was for Bill Gates who appeared on a giant screen.

Ugh, don't give me that crap. I'm a programmer. I write "if then" all day long. I don't care what the difference is, you get the point. If I could speak and type in code 24 hours a day I would

When you consider Apple itself has said such thing as:

\t"This one is big. Even by our standards."

\t"Count the days. Count the minutes. Count on \tbeing blown away."

\t"Beyond the rumor sites. Way beyond."

\t"To go where no PC has gone before."

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a lot. Apple has raised expectations very high and I can't believe they don't have hardware to meet or exceed them.
