I haven't heard that the licensing issues were worked out. I guess they have to the point Apple feels it can release the software.

I guess we can look forward to AAC in iPods.

I have to purchase another liscense for QT6-Pro...?

FCP3 and DVD-StudioPro came with "Pro" liscenses... yet I now have to upgrade...? Grrr...

    Didn't expect THAT to happen...

maybe they think that there will be so many downloads of something else coming out that they wanted to get some of these downloaded first...maybe something that needs QT6 and they knew they would be flooded with downloads...g

This could mean that the MWNY stream will be MPEG4.

Will iTunes let you use the ACC (or whatever) for encoding?

No there is no reason not to download it. I'd guess your stream of macworld will be a better experience with it than without it.

Wait if you want, but i really don't see the need to.

That's probably a sop to the movie industry, which shrieks every time something comes out that looks like it might theoretically be capable of thwarting the protections built into a DVD.

    Just a guess.

Is this a new feature, or have I just not been paying attention?
