I am a soon to be switcher. I do not need a laptop as I do not travel often. Which leaves me torn between the MacPro and iMac. Which would you guys get?
I mostly use the computer for surfing the web, chatting, some photoshop, and a lot of windows based games - so I would be running boot camp for games.
Also, if I got the iMac I'd get the 20" with the fastest processor. But if I got the MacPro I don't know which processor choice would even be right for me.
The help is appreciated.

Well, if you want to play the latest PC games (and the new ones that will be coming out over the next 6 months) at decent frame rates, I would say you should get a MacPro. As far as processor choice, you would probably be ok with the 2.66GHz (but I think the upgrade to 3GHz is worth it).
If I were you I would wait a few weeks until people get there hands on the new MacPros and start posting benchmarks of their gaming capabilities.
I have been building a new PC every couple of years for gaming: I think that the MacPro just might free me from that task.
I wholeheartedly can say that the jump to 3GHz is not worth it because a) it's overpriced in terms of what the processors actually cost, b) the 2.66GHz already runs every game so well that games are GPU-bottlenecked, and c) when you need to upgrade that 2.66, you can and doing so will be cheaper than buying a 3.00 straight-up.

Woodcrest/Conroe 3.0/2.9 GHz
Woodcrest/Conroe 2.67 GHz
Woodcrest/Conroe 2.33/2.4 GHz
Conroe 2.14 GHz
FX-62 (similar performance to 2.14 Conroe)
Woodcrest 2.0 GHz
FX-60
As you can see, either the 2.66 or 3.0 Woodcrests are perfectly fine in terms of processing power among top processors.
