God, I love chimera in X.2, but it crashes all the time if you open more than 3 tabs. I mean, every 5 mins. Also it seems to place flash objects wherever it likes on the page. It will be bad ass, but boy, do they have a lot of work to do. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
<strong>Why struggle with inferior products? Swallow your pride and take the hit. Microsoft makes the best internet browser avalible and that is a fact. As MCQ said, that is an opinion, sot hardly a fact. I think Internet Explorer's threading is laughable, at best. It's inability to adhere to Apple's interface guidelines is pretty bad too. And why is it that most sites I visit render faster and more accurately in Mozilla 1.1 than Internet Explorer 5.2.1?
And the features... oh, where are all the great features that OmniWeb has (and Mozilla to an extent) that Microsoft's Internet Explorer lacks? Things like services that offer live spellchecking (in OmniWeb), or privacy settings to filter specific sites (also OW), or tabs (Mozilla), or the ability to block intrusive popup windows without completely disabling JavaScript (both OW and Moz), or bookmark subscriptions (OW), or a built-in source editor with syntax highlighting and error checking (OW), or a Network Activity window from which you can kill slow or stalled items (OW), or context menus with shortcuts for immediate download (OW), or the ability to hold the mouse button down and not cause everything to grind to a halt (OW)...
Shall I go on with my list? There are *plenty* more excellent features that I use everyday in OmniWeb (and a few in Mozilla, for when I use it) that are lacking in your so-called "best internet browser avalible [sic]".
One thing that keeps me using OW4.1 is the context menus. Laid out perfectly, and the open behind window item is in my opinion MUCH better than tabbed browsing (tabbed reminds me of crappy Windows MDI programs).
Netscape is stupid, stupid, stupid in terms of speed and usability. IE insists on using non-Aqua-compliant UI. Chimera is crash-happy and the UI needs major improvements.
If it wasn't for JS and CSS problems I'd never use anything else but Omniweb.
I tend to use IE, because it tends to be the most compatible with several web sites that I frequent, and because I like it's web archive feature. Despite all its flaws, IE works best with my browsing needs.
However, I bought a license for Omniweb, and man I want to use it because it simply looks/renders better than all contenders, but it simply cannot handle javascript, and I need full plug-in compatibliity. If 5.0 addressed these concerns, then I will switch full-time.
Chimera: I hate the interface, it's inconsitent rendering (especially with the NY Times), and as I surf with DSL, Chimera's speed advantage is negligible.
By the way, anyone have a link to the latest Omniweb 4.1.1 sneekpeak?

On my PB 2400/400 w/OS 9.1 it's Opera. Nothing else comes close.
