Hey Mac_Doll, this is kinda off topic, but what is a good girl equivalent of a dork. (and no, I won't call you anything) The word dork has a somewhat male connotation attached to it according to Wikipedia and doesn't seem to translate well to the opposite sex. I have a friend who always calls me dork and I still don't have a good comeback for herut she is equally as geeky as I.
Plus transport costs, plus waiting, plus the need to rip.
now for the iTunes breakdown:
CD - quality - freedom(DRM) - DVD features, book..., + 320 k MP3s on the 'pod,
No travel cost because I needed to go to the store anyway and there usually isnt much of a line at the big box stores...not with 20 registers open at peak time (or one open at 1:00 am in my case)

also, you forgot about internet access cost...
I'll take your "I needed to go to the store anyway" and replace it with "I pay a flat rate for Internet access anyway". Which is far more realistic.
What copy protection? my Mac has ripped every CD I have tossed at it, Windows too, I just have to hold the magic little shift key (and / or disable all autorun...)

Shift key? So you're circumventing it. If you're unlucky, that's illegal depending on how your least favorite judge happens to interpret it.

I double dare the RIAA to sue me for using the shift key on a CD I purchased...bring it on! I believe the ACLU and EFF would happily help me. Hell., Apple, creative, MS, and maybe even TiVo may help, to protect the rights of their customers to put CDs on iPods and other such digital music player devices not to mention home computers and entertainment devices.
Also, pressing shift protects my computer from badware like the Sony Root kit

Well, it appears you dorks can sleep easier now; Al's new album is now on the iTunes Store. I saw it in a recent new releases email.
Yes, I am supplementing your nerdiness.
Screw itunes...see above...
White and Nerdy: a_greer's theme song.
I am black...
NOT!!!!!
Ebby: Um.. well, you do have a point. A term you can call a female Geek... I'll have to ponder that one.
a_greer: Do I sense anger? I was merely trying to help; someone previously complained about it not being on iTunes.

I guess you forgot the copy protection.

Wow, you must be going for the premium editions.

Sorry, I can't hear the difference.

Boys... quit the squabbling!
Bit Torrent!
My personal favorite moments:
1) when he imitates Star Wars kid.
2) the illicit "drug deal" for the infamous Star Wars holiday special lol.
3) when the black guys in the convertible lock their doors when passing through the white neighborhood.
