So a Xeon system can handle 16GB, maybe 64GB, while a Core 2 Duo/Quadro system is limited to a mere 8GB (maybe 16GB). I have to wonder how many Mac users actually have more than 8GB of RAM.
How many Mac Pro's will Apple sell compared to their other machines? And where do they go?
Mostly, their sales are a fraction of the other lines. But they make more profit for Apple. They are also the prestige line.
Most of the customers for them are either in areas of work where they do large files, getting larger all the time. Or are in scientific establishments where they are working on large databases, and large files.
