If that is the case, I wish they would've mentioned the system bus and/or new case design. Nice to see the speed increase and the DDR ram. Is 266mz DDR fast or actually is it a marked improvement or could they have done better?
Actually, here's another article about the G5 and it may be the G5 but not the G5 we thought, er something like that. According to <a href="http://www.architosh.com/news/2001-12/2001c-1201-g5moto-info.phtml" target="_blank">this</a> article, there will be a G5 in janurary and it's NOT a G4.
A lot of conflicting reports going around but at least they all say one thing-New Power Macs at 1.0ghz+ at MWSF!!
The Apollo is probably for iMacs. Once the Powermacs are using G5s, it would make sense to migrate the iMacs to G4s. This would be one of the smartest things Apple could do, for it would give developers a much greater incentive to write for Altivec.
