According to that article, it looks like one thing Vista has ahead of Apple is Media Center. Is there anything in Leopard that will allow new Macs to act like Media Center? If not, why not? I know there's iTV, but from what I've heard it only works with iTunes downloaded stuff. The requirement of using plugin hardware/software ala ElGato to do what does with Media Center seems like a big omisson to me. I know, not everyone wants the ability to intigrate TV with their computer, but then why come out with iTV?That being said I am switching to a Mac as soon as Leopard ships
I have ordered it although I live in Japan where there are no movie downloads, yet, simply because I have the need for pushing my media to my TV.
Have an iMac (Intel) at work with Front Row and it works great. Personally can't see the need for that much more. What can media center do that Macs can't?
Media Center aside, the Mac beats a PC off the shelf any day.

I admit that I'm no expert when it comes to what iTV can do. I'm going off what I had heard. Again, can you use a Mac ala Tivo and record TV to your HD (for free) without third party hardware/software, or will it just let you watch shows you buy from iTunes?
As I stated before, I plan on switching to a Mac when Leopard is out, so no need to remind me of the whole Mac vs. PC issue. Just thought I'd mention something from the article where the writer thought Vista had the edge over the Mac.

I like this one.
Pogue was there, too.

iTV will work with all content on your Mac. Take some time to read before you post...
