Well, I don't see OSX gaining huge market share regardless so opening up OSX any more than it is wouldn't help much IMHO. The hardware is where Apple makes money so opening the software up simply destroys the platform.

I'm an honest Mac user and fan therefore I accept the facts with out spin. I build PC's and where I work we do not have a single Mac in our company. We use Dell, HP, IBM etc... When I see my employer Wal-Mart direct us in our IT department to roll out Macs then I will say that Macs are rising.

Macs has lower TCO than Windows but is arguably less useful for most IT departments. There's no enterprise software to speak of so there's nearly zero probability that any large IT department would move to OSX.

We use XP, Unix, and Linux atm. I suspect that Novell will supply our Linux software very soon considering the deal that M$ and Novel made a few months back. Apple could possible work with Wal-Mart but Apple's own worse enemy is Apple therefore Apple must change in order to grow.

Well, I wouldn't go SLES because a) its Novell. They can ruin anything and b) they just ruined SUSE as far as the Linux community is concerned which shows point A still holds true. That may not mean much in 2007 but what community still supporting the distro is going to migrate to other distros meaning more cost and slower response time for Novell.

RedHat seems safest of the enterprise Linuxes.

Yes they do. I am planning to buy a new Mac as soon as Leopard is out.
