The multipage pic that you saw was simply a mock-up of what something like that could look and behave like. It's just an idea, and there is no functional hack like it (yet).
I *love* the Command-Shift-D shortcut! easy add to bookmarks!
You know what the best feature of Safari is? The proper behavior of the Maximize (green) button: it resizes the window (almost) always just right. Best browser feature ever!
OK say you've been filling out forms at a site for a while. You forgot something and you need to check it on the last page so you go back, and then forward again. OOPS! You just lost all your input! Like here at AI! It would be nice if Safari remember input in text entry fields when clicking back and forth, like in Chimera and IE. Just my 2¢
I don't like multiple window browsing (do tabs please!) at all. It's so confusing. Safari seems to open more separate windows than any other browser. Or is there some way to have all external links show up in the same window?
Someone plz hack some CM into this thing. Not being able to right click back a page is getting very annoying. Chimera is a 0.6 release and it's way more polished than this. It's nice that Apple released this early to get more ppl working on the project, but to call it a point 1.0x beta release is just,.. gall.
Some people just dont agree with the whole less than 1.0.0 version number thing. You should use how long the thing has been in development vs. Chimera, which is to say, not long at all.
And besides, you can right click on a page, but you don't get many options if you don't right click on a link or image.

I tried Safari at an Apple Store. Very nice. I like the small screen footprint. The google search rocks. But since reading about how people want tabbed browsing ? I started using it in Mozilla and I love it. Lets hope that?s in there soon.
If you turn off images in Safari Preferences, there's no toolbar option or menu command to make them display. If you click on an image, you can open it in a window or download it but not actually load it in to the page. (This was in the older build, so I don't know if v51 fixed this.)
Another bug dealing with the favorites toolbar was addressed by the v51 update. Good job Apple! (I'll post the bug if you care.)
Also, I just noticed on a computer with the older build installed the the newer build shows up in Software Update.
I don't use tabbed browsing and I rarely use all the features of IE. The only feature I truly miss is form autocompletion, but otherwise Safari totally rocks my world!
Anyway, another thing I noticed. Where the fsck is the Toolbar button? The tic-tac often ridiculed? This is the ONE place I'd actually like to see and it's MIA. Otherwise I think it's ugly and retarded and the Finder "Toolbar" is so f'ing annoying, I always have to click that TicTac to make it go away. (is there a system-wide preference to make windows open WITHOUT toolbars?)
If Safari had a Toolbar TicTac that would be almost Fullscreen mode. A TRUE Fullscreen mode would also be nice.

<strong>does anyone know if safari has native support for multiple langauges yet? As in display of webpages, not toolbars...</strong><hr></blockquote>
It support tons of international characters - if that's what you mean.
In fact it's the only browser on the Mac that's able to show Icelandic correct.

flash playback has nothing to do with bandwidth ?
compare my site : <a href="http://www.unknownpleasures.com" target="_blank">http://www.unknownpleasures.com</a> in safari with ie/netscape and then tell me again that flash playback seems fine.

Flash Playback seems just fine...
Seriously though. It's fast using 1.0b v51...
The system and other applications have not been affected. OK
I get this message on start-up and I have re-booted and I am using the latest version. I removed ie from my bar and now I have to put it back
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it?

Have a look at wap.sonyericsson.com on IE and try and do anything.
Turds.
Try it on Safari ... first it won't do shoite as the site sniffs your browser and says "You're not IE"
BUT use the Debug menu to change the Safari user agent to Win IE 6.0 and it renders it BEAUTIFULLY.
Yup, it renders wap pages.
<strong>Something VERY COOL that it does:

If you read through this thread or Apple discussions you'd find it's already discussed.
Go to Home/Library/Preferences, find com.apple.safari.plist and delete. It's normally due to that being corrupted.

Hmmm ... I guess I may have spoken too soon.
SOME pages seem to work (like that wap.sonyericsson.com gubbins) but some just display the code.

Those who are XML based only display code.

for those few i want to see, safari plays them bad.
so i just got icab 2.9, that's fast enough, and still is not IE. i've had enough of safari.
so, chimera, icab and exploiter.
edit: duh, I guess I could've read the 3 or 4 posts ahead of this one and would have found the answer. Please excuse my laziness.
