Maybe the 10.4.10 will fix Apple's 10.4.9 issue with the OS being able to recognize and mount USB 2.0 connected portable hard drives!!!!!!!!!!!! My friggen 650 Seagate "one touch" has been like playing roulette each time I try to connect it leaving me guessing "will the hard drive mount for me today!!!"
Apple refuses to recognize this issue... Seagate has identified it as an Apple OS 10.4.9 issue but does not offer a fix stating its an Apple related issue with the latest update. Sure enough, it works fine on any Mac I tested pre 10.4.9 update.
I guess I can only hope.\ It too late to return the HD. I shouldn't have too regardless!! And you want to hear Apple's tech support solution.... "sir, why don't you return your portable hard drive and buy one of our authorized portable hard drives from our website". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!
