    From the Safari Download page:

Safari Update 2-12-03 improves compatibility with popular web sites, displays web pages and Flash content more quickly, adds XML support,

increases standards conformance and improves stability. The update also works with self-signed security certificates.

Couldn't fetch it from SU, so I had to go through the tedious process of filling in bogus contact info on the Safari download page. Got it now.

Still fouls up the javascripts on two sites I run which work perfectly in every other browser I've tried... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

and it works with Lotus' iNotes web interface, first mac browser to do that i think,

    great!

You can now preview Dreamweaver pages with F12 (it wouldn't open the new window before), and it fixed some table rendering issues on my site.

Apple is hopefully not going to change their stance on flawed interface elements.

there won't be tabs in v1.0. If it's beta, it means that it's feature complete. only bugs get thrown now.

gettyimages.com is still hosed (though slightly better). i gotta think other mac pro users have noticed this, too. i sent in a bug report about it, but still no luck.

and enough about the bloody tabs. here's a quarter (and there's the bug button), tell someone who cares (namely APPLE).

    sorry. uncaharacteristically snotty of me.

It feels faster. Enough about the tabs. It's not going into Safari.

It seems to scroll much smoother on my 400Mhz G3 and the site connections seem to happen faster.

And Mac OS X 10.0 had the exact same features as Mac OS X Public Beta?

Pray tell, how the hell are Tabs a "flawed interface element"??? You have tabs everywhere, like in preferences of many apps... heck Apple.com IS ALL ABOUT TABS (notice top of page... only been there for the last, oh, 2-3 years at least).

Tabs are by far the most useful and innovative feature on a web browser I have come accross in a web browser since possibly auto-complete addresses.

AT LEAST give the option to have tabs fer chrissake... or make it open-ended enough for 3rd party development of such a feature.

'Beta' does not imply 'Feature Complete'

This has never been the rule and it is less correct with each passing day.
