I collected my iMac this afternoon, and all I can say is WOW!
And all anybody else who has seen it is able to say is WOW!
What a beautiful machine. I'm pleased to say that the reflections on the glossy screen are barely noticable thanks to how bright the screen is. Great screen, and nice and fast.
This iMac has supplanted the MacBook as my favourite Mac of all time.
I've got one. I haven't noticed any dithering effects, so I'd say the colour accuracy is as good as it will be for a glossy display. Very bright (half-brightness is about right in a moderately dark room).
The screen area is great, that's for sure. It's much more of what I need when I'm working and just happens to be nice for goofing off!
