Actually, Apple has a history of confirming rumors by sending out C&D notices. It's very rare that they send one out for something which isn't legitimate. I'm convinced these are real given that Engadget, Gizmodo, and a few other sites have been asked to take down the shots.
That said, I'm not sure if these are final product shots. That it's a PSD may actually be a clue as to why it doesn't look quite right: someone grabbed the raw file (or even took a photo of it at work) while it was a work in progress.
And I, for one, think these could be very nice players. I'd like to own a cranberry red iPod. It'd be less ostentatious than the Product (RED) nano but would still look very attractive, if it was metallic. That seems to be the case here.
What if those aren't the Nanos? But the new iPods with video (i.e., replacement for the current iPod 5.5G)?
Maybe Apple is going to keep the Nano as-is (increased capacity, but still audio-only), reduce the size of the video iPod by using flash instead of HDD, and introduce a new, top-of-the-line iPod with touch-screen and HDD storage.
