I've always assumed one of the stumbling blocks for HD content at iTS has been that iPods don't have the horsepower to play 720p files. Are the 6G models capable? Not that it matters on an iPod-size screen, but having two different files; one for iPod and another for AppleTV would seem to be a big problem. It seems necessary though because HD files would take up too much space on your iPod. Some sort of conversion mechanism needs to be built into iTunes, I suppose. Perhaps it'll come with iTunes 8 at MWSF.
I am surprized no one said it: by MWSF '08 the Macbook Pro design will be 5 YEARS OLD. I tried hard but in vain to remember such a long standing design in Apple's lines in the last ten years or so...
Oh wait, that's it: the iBook design. We had it for exactly 5 years.

The iMac was recently updated, so I don't expect it to be updated again before Montevina ships next summer. Updates seem to be immanent over the next four months for products including: MacBook Pro, Xserve, Mac Pro, and the new Mac Nano to replace the Mac Mini.
They had better update the graphics card as that is apparently the problem behind all of the freezing issues....
My 2 cents. I believe they will//should create a simple home server (headless) with massive storage and ZFS. Back up to another machine via Time Machine. Server software for "mere mortals". It will connect via AirPort//WiMax to laptops, AppleTV, iPhone, and a new apple display. Voice controlled (for use with the iPhone. "ET phone home."

(where are apple hiding those new displays and penryns..
wizard69 you better be ready for some serious disappointment. That list of yours is so off the wall it's not even speculative it's imaginary.
LOL, my thoughts exactly. I had the impression that he writes down its dream from last night.
An iMac with a better GPU.
Many people ask for this, but it is very unlikely. I don't see the next iMac before spring '08.
Or at least the gar-darn option for one.
This is something to think about. Apple recently likes adding stealth BTO options.

How about the Airport Express being bumped up to 802.11n
Mac mini/Apple TV combo

Or just another piece of recent Apple hardware. What they have been

themselves with the platform. Apple - One step foreword, two steps back.
And I thought I was pessimistic.
