One thing that would help Apple would be making stronger inroads into the Baby Boomer market, instead of focusing so much on the youth audience.

Speaking from personal experience, very recently my dad expressed interest in an iPod, and that was only because of his interest in podcasts and audio books.

Apple has only scratched the surface in that respect, and making MORE of the iPods (not just the Touch and the iPhone) WiFi compatible would do wonders for iTunes sales. Just knowing that anyone could enter a Starbucks or even a Panera to buy songs with their food would strengthen Apple's leadership position and bolster their stock.
