I disagree. Why? Too many models. To get into the TV business Apple will have to make TV's in at least three different sizes (small desktops, console and large 50" plus screens) with many different styles and appearances. And even then people will complain because Apple hasn't provided the size and style they want or need. (And I haven't mentioned the different international standards that Apple would have to provide.) The current method of us, the TV viewers, getting a TV that matches our space, decor and taste from someone whose main business is TVs and then attaching an Apple box is much better Apples' perceptive. The inventory is similar.

Apple will sell TV's in 2010, possibly earlier. I suspect they will want to make a splash with a super-slim Plasma, or possibly even OLED (if they wait until at least 2010). They will launch with two screen sizes and likely add a third size within 12 months of the first release. They will continue to sell the Apple TV box, but their TV's will have an Apple TV built-in. If you already have a nice plasma etc. you can buy the box if you want. If you want a new TV then you may go straight for one of Apple's ones. They will launch with two models, 37" and 50", which will be very sleek, minimal, powerful, black and net-ready. This announcement will most likely coincide with some sort of iTunes TV Show Subscription model. Cha-ching!
The above is my best guess, but I'm pretty much 100% confident that Apple TV's are on the cards. It was funny when the heaps of people on here were like "Apple will never make a phone. It's not their style." I was laughing than, and I'm still laughing now about it. They're going to do TV's, be ready children!

Again, I completely disagree. And again for the same reason... Too many models.
To do what you say, Apple would have to either walk away from most of its potential customers or divide its product line into so many products that they can't make a profit. TVs are big, attention grabbing and dominate any room that they occupy. They have to match the room and use that they are intended for. And that's to big of a task for any single manufacture to do. Even the big TV manufactures don't try this. They pick their area and go for it. So why should Apple?

If apple does eventually make a tablet, they will make it so everyone wants it... we won't see the apple main consumer base split because apple will make it so everyone wants it

They were talking about a TV... Anyway, I can't see a tablet of any one size that fits everybody. Some would like a tablet only slightly larget than an iPod Touch. Others would like a tablet to be 11" or even larger. Some value a real keyboard and would not like a tablet at all.
It's really not a one-size-fits-all situation
As for TVs, they're definitely not a one-size-fits-all situation
No. Apple has mentioned noting of a touchscreen notebook. Case closed.
Nevermind him avenged7evenfold.......what the hell kind of name is that anyway?
Whatever look....nevermind onlooker. When the great days comes I will make a request of Steve Jobs that onlooker will never everr everrrrrrrr get the mactouch as punishment for his disbelief and unfaithfulness!

Onlooker's blasphemy will not be forgiven!!!!
That answer is the truth. It's not speculation, it's not guesswork. It's fact. Apple has not mentioned a touch screen MacBook. I was trying to be honest so this guy doesn't fester for 3 years waiting on something that may never come to fruition.

When has Stever ever mentioned anything about future products? Its always by subtle hints that he gives that we know when the new stuff is coming. The mactouch is coming and it will be bigger than the iphone I tells ya! Competitors will scream and wet their pants like little children as Steve shows the device off on stage. Its gonna slam itself on the marketplace like an asteroid strike on a city like from that movie armageddon.

I do, do you? TV's are coming, deal with it.

I called you on implying the other poster lacked half a brain, now you're calling folks children.
The guy that needs to grow up is you. Can folks disagree with you without calling them names?
