What do you mean? The reason people want voice dialing is so they can touch a button say "Call Ireland" and have it find the contact and dial it with minimal interaction. All this does is find and display the contact (not very well I might add, look at all the reviews), and it doesn't dial them for you; you still have to manually press a button to call them. So what's the point of it? You are better off putting people in your speed dial if you have to look at the screen.
voice dialing--apple can fix this....its not rocket science, my 4yr old v551 works well enough (oops for the MS) lingo. but this is an apple problem that apple created
so people still have to fumble with the phone to make a call. i hope a real solution comes soon
Wow. This thread had dropped to Page 5. Please post your simple reviews. It will help others... and maybe you!
Picoli (photography)
Downloaded this while waiting to take photos of the sunrise over our local volcano. For only 600 en (5 bucks?) it adds a little needed boost to the iPhone's camera. Personally, I find the iPhone's photos a little soft and wanted to sharpen them; Picoli allows us to do this, and more. It makes a great difference. The only feature I wish they would add would be a duplicate feature so that you can always revert to the original if you want.
Picoli is a useful little photo-manipulation app, which at $5 represents great value. Obviously, it's no replacement for Photoshop, but if you need to make simple filter adjustments on the fly, this app will really make your iPhone photos pop. Especially good for breathing life into low-light snaps.
It's no match for my Olympus or my Canon XTi, but it sure has enabled me to take a lo of photos over the weeks that I would never have taken with my old phone, and load them to my Macs with ease. The large screen is great for previewing and with Picoli, the images come out better. The iPhone's cam is a little weak when there is insufficient light, but then every camera I've ever owned has had its strengths and its weaknesses that you learn to work around.
Would be very interested to read your impressions of FileMagnet. I'm considering buying it this week.
Version 1.1 of Squiggles is out with many more features.
paint smoothing, cursor for precise painting, eraser, clone tool, color stamps, overlay layers, text layers, real time image adjustments, distortions and many more features.
Dizzy Bee is a good game, very original. There is a free version that convinced me to buy the full one.
It has been compared to Pac-Man, in that there are maze-like playing fields, and you have to pick up the little flowers, and more importantly, rescue your friends (who are various fruits), all while avoiding the bad guys.
The control is very unique. It's accalerometer-based. Kind of like the labyrinth games, but held in a vertical plane. You rotate the device to chance which way is up, and gravity does the work. Dizzy is the operative word here! Very fun and tricky, and you have to pay attention to things all over the screen and plan ahead.
The graphics are very polished and smooth, but cutesy. (My wife thinks it's funny that I play a game for 10-year-old girls!) I usually play with no sound (more below) but they seem well done as well.
The downsides:
- Since you are constantly rotating and changing your grip on the device, I drop mine somewhat frequently. So, I only play where I won't give it a nsaty fall. It would probably help to have a grippy rubberized case.
- The same moting gets headphone cords tangled in seconds. As I have a Touch, no sound for me...

Please explain me, and stuff.

I think he means it requires user interaction (physical interaction) to dial the phone number.
The reviews indicate that this app does not work well at all.

Give it some time. Maybe another company will come out with one that does work. What was the number of developers for the iPhone?

It doesn't bother me. I don't call that much anyway.

New apps are appearing pretty regularly now.
I basically want an MSN app but there doesnt seem to be any Windows Live Messenger app.
btw What are the chances of us seeing an official Windows Live Messenger app?

Dunno, there is some chance... Microsoft DID expand its Mac team. Could this count iPhone development as well?
Anyways, looking forward to an MSN client with bacground push notifications!

Over 1000 now.
Notice all the icons are rounded now that Apple finally updated iTunes (today July 31st).
God the iPhone camera truly is sucky.

It's a highly polished, pretty bug-free app. I like it a lot.
Check out the free desktop client that you download to transfer files to the iPhone app. It's AppZapper-like. It's great. Just buy it!

Not bad for a quick waste of time!
Come on, guys... post your reviews!
