    This is not a chipset problem, that's bulls%&t. Before i did the 2.0.1 update I had great reception and no dropped calls, so, please don't try to blame it on a chip. Apple, get your act together and please hurry up with the new update!!!!!!

    How about EDGE? I really only need a voice signal. I can use WiFi for data, not that I really use much data right now.

    3G antenna or towers are placed lower than normal GSM antenna. Being placed lower is supposed to provide for better signal dispersion but lower can also lead to bumping into buildings and such. I notice that here in Finland some areas have outstanding 3G coverage (completely full signal indicator bars) while sometimes the signal will drop down to one or two.
