The new fourth generation Nano is Apple's thinnest iPod yet, but still delivers the same high resolution display of last year's wider, square model. It introduces Genius playlist creation on the go, audio recording features when used with a mic, and an accelerometer that enables "shake to shuffle" and automatic landscape reorientation with Cover Flow.

The new Nano ships with standard headphones; Apple will release two headphone options next month that include a mic and playback/volume controls: a standard earbud pair for $29 and a premium dual driver, in ear set for $79.

Past photos for comparisons: first-gen iPod nano (2005), second-gen iPod nano (2006), third-generation iPod nano (2007).

Guess I was wrong. I didn't think that this was the real nano. I still wonder how practical the curved screen will be. Looks nice though.

i don't think the screen is curved, just the glass protecting the screen.

I know. I'm talking about reflections from the curved surface of the glass.

Nobody takes photos like iLounge. Way better than anyone else. All the colors next to one another, good focus, clear, the best!

Theire images are top notch, but their reporting leaving something to be desired.
"In their disassembly of the iPod touch 2G, iFixit found a particularly interesting component. The new touch sports a Broadcom BCM4325 wireless communicaitons chip with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support. While some have speculated that Apple may have hidden this chip inside with plans of activating Bluetooth functionality later, it is more likely used to communicate with the Nike+ sensor puck, which uses a proprietary 802.11 protocol."
How does that even get written?
