I read somewhere that when jaguar is shipped on macs later this month, they will no longer allow booting into os9, and you'll have to rely on classic to run older applications.

That is FALSE.
There is a rumor that the *next* major revision of PowerMacs will be outfitted so they can't boot into OS9, but there is not substantial proof. The current Macs can and will always still be able to switch into Mac OS 9.
Apps that use QuickTime also seem to have problems. Navigator, Mozilla both had quirky QT Plugin behavior before and it's worse in 6c115. The Watson movie preview stuff doesn't work.
The only real problem that I have found with applications not working in 10.2 (besides the few mentioned above, like carracho) is that Apple Remote Desktop will not work. I even reinstalled it twice, but with not luck. Does anyone know about plans for an update to fix this?

There will be an update soon to bring compatibility with Jaguar.
10.2 Jaguar does work with Cisco VPN Client 3.6 over a wired network. However, it no longer works with my Apple airport wireless network. It used to work on 10.1.x. I am so sad. Anyone know how to get Cisco VPN Client 3.6 to work over an airport network on Mac OS 10.2?
Does anyone know if the stuff I compiled (aka MySQL, apache 1.3.26, and everyting i've installed with Fink (kde3 etc) will transfer, or will it cause problems?
Any word on RealBASIC 3.5, Filemaker 5.5 or Flash MX?
I'm kinda worried about the former two because, if an update is needed from the developers, then I can bet that update will require an upgrade to RealBASIC 4 and Filemaker 6, respectively.

First thing i noticed was that it killed postfix and hx.
Both things were solved with a recompile or some pokeing.
For a list of other applications not working with 10.2 go to this page.
Some of my freinds also had problems with VIM in 10.2, but it works fine for me so I have no idea what causes that.
