That title bar mess is enough to put me off the upgrade completely. If there's not a way of turning that malarky off completely, I'll sit the upgrade out for sure, unless CS3 won't open CS4 documents, in which case, customers may force me into it.
Photoshop CS3 had a TON of kick-ass new features, both for designers and photographers -- enough that I'm still learning them. CS4 doesn't appear to have anything besides 3D, which means nothing to me. Illustrator -- multiple pages is good at long-last, but not a feature I would personally use, and none of the InDesign features look compelling to me, either, as far as what I use the program for.
What I'd like to see in Illustrator? A simple way to switch between CMYK in the color picker to the closest Pantone equivalent, like you can in Photoshop. When you consider the amt. of spot color work done in Illustrator, this is a glaring oversight, and the current workaround of tinkering with color groups is cumbersome, and not very accurate.
Also, Adobe won't, but should really release a free point-release to fix the hide bug with InDesign. I lost an hour's worth of work the one time I accidentally tried to hide the stupid thing -- now I don't hide ID. This is not a bug fix worth paying $699 for.
honestly just after doing some beta testing of photoshop I'm sold. the interface is customizable, it is just the default interface which has changed. You can view multiple files either through grids in tabbed view or open individual windows for each file as in previous versions of photoshop.
I believe you just violated your NDA with that screenshot, not cool. None of us who are on the private betas can say what features Adobe products have or not until after the 23rd. To do so, including screen shots is a violation, even if some things get leaked, it isn't up to individuals to say what features are correct in the leak and which aren't. Anyone not on said betas can speculate all they want and certainly comment on whether they might like new features. I can say I think there are some interesting features that will be released next week and when you get the full story, you may or may not still feel the same way.

Any news whether CS4 will work correctly if not at least install on case-sensitive HFS+ file systems?]
Anyone have info on this? This is something that is a big deal for me.

However, this is an Apple Fora not Windows.

CS4 news is starting to come in....
This part may bother those with older macs......... "...some people with older machines might have to upgrade at least the video card."
So far it definitely seems like a CS3.5 to me.
1. GPU acceleration. Apparently it works really well and speeds things up considerably.
2. Tabbed interface. That is not a new concept but a welcome one for Photoshop
3. Non destructive adjustments
Other stuff:
3200x zoom
I actually like the interface
pixel grid - welcome from the perspective of a web designer
I have yet to see a really 'must-have' feature. How are they going to sell this thing?
Corporations that get site licenses. We upgrade to the latest. We can't afford not to especially when our clients and vendors jump the gun.
