Is there a way to customize the beach ball of death?



I like the one they had in the WWDC build of Jag but the one in 6c106 is horrid. have the done anything with it sence then? And why the hell did they get rid of the one from WWDC?

    No. As far as we have been able to determine, it is hard-wired into the kernel or one of the display frameworks.

    ah well that figures. With the wonderful designs I have seen from Apple so far why would the axe the cool looking beach ball from WWDC release? Quick question Brad: Who is "we"?

    haha, well that was fast. Just wondering but you seem to know quite about about every new piece of software thats out not to mention all the older software. If you don`t mind me asking what is it you do? Do you just research everything simply for your own entertainment and also to help out other AI`s? Are you just a fellow Geek? just wondering.

    The blue beach ball of death from the wwdc 10.2 ruled. The one in 106 is pretty ugly, but at least it is a little better than the normal one, even though all that is different is a spiral and a little emboss.

    I have to agree with iBrowse, the blue beachball WAS the best. Why the hell would they get rid of it and replace it with that fruity new one?? <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />

    The blue one was nicer, i agree. Maybe Apple is just trying to stay away from too much blueness in Aqua, haven't they changed other UI elements to new colors that were previously blue?

    Yes they have, the highlight color in the force quit menu us now an ugly shade of orange-ish green ugly.

    okay, apparently i am the only one who likes the new beachball. ah well. guess i'm right and you're all wrong.



    anyway, just tried force quit, and don't see the orange-greenish highlight color anywhere.

    Yeah it does make diahrea brown. I do like the new beach ball more than the old one, the five colored twitching disk, looked completely flat too. I just liked the Blue one more.

    iBrowse, seriously, MY highlight color in the force quit dialog is a flat royal BLUE. i am looking at it right now. what is going on here? very strange. i am running build 115.

    I am running 106, and that's what I see. I'm hoping that in the official Jag release it will be back to blue. Maybe it's set to that ugly color because of one of my highlight prefs in my general prefrences, but that's what I get.

    That's what it is alright, I had my highlight color set to bright yellow, and it produced that ugly color. I set my highlight color to green and i got green highlighting in my force quit box.

    I love how in the force quit it shows you the items frozen in red. Also in Ie check box`s you don`t have to click them multiple times to get it to check, has any one else had that problem? well its fixed now...

    What's your highlight color in the general preferences set to? Is it just normal blue?
