OS X 10.1.4 NOT OS X 10.2.4!!!
When I boot my iMac running OS X 10.1.4 the clock and icons(modem, volume speaker, display) next to take about 40 seconds to load. This hasn't happened before, and has just started to happen. What could the problem be or is there a problem?

The PPP modem one took the longest, though in 10.2, everything is now dandy. I don't even notice it anymore.
<strong>I am not paying $129 for 10.2. Now I heard that there are problems with 10.1.5, it was like the beta for 10.2, i am i right?</strong><hr></blockquote>
I'm running under 10.2.2 at the moment. Before that I had 10.1.5 and I was running fine. And no. 10.1.5 WAS NOT the beta for 10.2. It was just the latest revision to 10.1 to make it more stable.
<strong>so should i upgrade to 10.1.5</strong><hr></blockquote>
dont do it, man! 10.1.4 was the best OS version so far for my mac. so you'll save 40 seconds while your menu bar items load up, but consider everything else that'll get worse.
<strong>Will Apple ever do anymore updates for OS X 10.1.5?</strong><hr></blockquote>
yes, 10.2, and 10.2.1, and 10.2.2, and probably 10.2.3
just get Jaguar, you will be happy as a rabbit, a very happy one, you did <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

I second that. Jaguar's really worth the money.
Do you know anyone that's a teacher? They can get it for free.
EmAn it must suck to have your mom in the forms, you can't say anything bad now! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />
I may update when OS X 10.3 Panther is released, until then I am sticking 10.1.5.
~Does that mean that I would need to have 10.2 already installed to install 10.3? damn.
