Only other concern is that the 3GS I turned in had pretty bad hairline cracks on the bottom and it was not dropped once. Im hoping it wont happen to the new one but if so I think they replace them under warranty if it becomes pretty bad. Might be wrong but we'll see. :

Cracks already? How can that be?

There are numerous posts on here that take up less than a page yet have four or five paragraphs. That's a little overkill. If all those points aren't valid to you then I will simply claim that I took literary license.

As for the phone itself, I'm loving the speed but hate the glossy black back. It attracts and holds on to grease like a teenager's face. Somehow, my hands actually feel greasier after I use it. That never happened on the 1G. At least the speed makes up for it though. It's much more useful to me now since I'm spending far less time waiting and more time doing.

So splurge and buy a rubber case.- problem fixed!

BTW- wouldn't you think of all places that Hollywood would have the best reception with all its wealth?

Besides thinking that area known as Hollywood equates to wealth, no area will be without issue when there is a brief and excessive influx on people entering an area. It would be a treat to see how you'd develop a new highway system for a city. From your posting you'd make it 100 lanes, including the exit ramps, so there would never be any congestion, and you'd ignore any costs associated with the development. That would be a grand idea.

Thats funny I was just reading the earlier posts between you and Solipsism. I to am having a hard time believing that your being sincere, especially with smart-ass comments like this. As for the cracks, don't ask me they just appeared over 4 days and had not been dropped once.

Why do you try to insult? That's really not permissable here at the Appleinsider. It's right up there with name calling.

Firstly I don't think Hollywood equates with wealth- I know it.

Why didn't you clarify that you've only been having problems since MJ and Bruno influx of crowds? It seemed like you've been having these connection issues before that- or are you backtracking now? or god forbid making it up?

Is it then from overheating? Things just don't crack without a reason- unless there is a demon at work or such. Are you leaving it on while storing it in your pants? Is the plastic that low of a grade?

CameronJ was right. I am just getting over a bad flu so I blame that for my lack of awareness on this thread.

Didn't notice overheating to much. Battery was the issue along with constant lock ups and dead jack and speakers. Cracks were all around the dock and bottom 2 screws. It was in pants for a minimal amount of time, usually on a desk or couch. Maybe I was blessed with a crap battery, hardware, and outer casing.

I like how you went back and edited that last part in after the fact. It sure wasn't there when I first replied back to your nonsense.

    Excellent spot

Where's that list of internet trolling techniques? This is the one where someone pretends to be agreeing with the majority, but adds subversive questions to make people talk about doubts. Only problem is he forgot to create a new handle first to do it.

Well then I'll take it as an anomaly and not let it interfere with my purchasing decision. I look forward to getting it this week- even with AT&T issues.

I was just trying to figure out what could have caused your cracks! I meant nothing more. it was an afterthought- nothing more.

Now when you get your Iphone, how about posting up a picture of it along with your face so we can all see the jackass nobody likes?

Namecalling. Not cool at the AppleInsider. You should apologize. BTW- I have quite a few buddies on here that don't call people names.

I think you have more time on your hands to sit behind a computer and act smart than any human being should. You are the first person i've come across who has befriended Google in such a way.

Cracks, over heating, poor battery usage, yellowing of white plastic, display colour change, poor reception. Regardless of how infrequent these are that should be enough to persuade to stay with Verizon where none of those things will ever happen.

They don't count as buddies if they are aliases you created.
