Is there anything wrong with this? What better a way to increase market share?

Back on pg 24 of this thread (can you believe we're now cross referencing page numbers within the thread itself???)
Anyway, way back there Macintosh responded to -- fvck, I can't remember -- psantoras (iThink) gentle ribbing over his older brother's role in introducing him to macs.
It got me thinking...
That's the perfect strategy to increase market share, but instead of siblings we use our children. And instead of the regular allotment of 2.2 children, all the mac faithful have somewhat more. Say 5 or 6, all mac users. We'd overtake windows in no time. Get to it people, Procreate!
Well, it looks like that's it for the slogans (unless they do one more tonight). Pretty cool, and VERY hyped up.
Every day after I read the slogans, I start thinking that Apple could release just about anything, and it takes quite awhile for me to start lessening my hopes for the keynote. I don't want to be disappointed tomorrow, so hopefully Apple has something big to show us.
What the hell is Apple doing here? I'll be able to see the beginning of the keynote but not the end....I am a teacher and I have to teach a class starting at 1:05EST......so I'll see about half or so.....

Apple is making history tomorrow. I think it is very education to let your students see the webcast. What better argument than they will have a backstage to the future can you get?

They are in elementary school. I am a music teacher....and at that time I have second grade.....so I can't really do that. Good idea though.....
Maybe that's the meaning for the Star Trek-like slogans. ST:NG.

it's an event to take place in germany for german retailers - there never had been s.th. like that before in germany. i thought it hints to a remarkeble change in new generation macs coming soon. 2 days of presentation of their new products ... wow!!!!
When Apple started they had their "Apple" brand, one of the original "home" computers.
Then they started a new initiative called "Macintosh", which brought the concept of GUI to computing and changed the world like no other.
The brand got bloated and then refreshed with the return of Steve who chopped it down into four succinct lines.
Meanwhile the computing world matured to the point of commodity. Users matured into advanced users and consumers. Children were born into a world where the computer use was second nature. Things got stale.
Apple started presenting specialized devices - once removed from the overkill of a massive deskbound machine.

So the countdown will be gone, but the original Apple page won't go back up, that wouldn't make sense.

Just one more sleepless night?

I thought threads this long got locked...
I know my family is going to love it when MacWorld is over - they'll finally get to see and talk to me!

So, I've been reading this board since AI came back. You are all very entertaining (especially this thread)!
So, I've finally been inspired to post!
Has anyone noticed the text before the gif loads is "just one more...." as in Just one more thing?
Origonally I thought this idea was bunk, but I've seen the light! Seven teasers, seven announcements

And now perhaps it's time for Apple's third act.

"discover Apple's next generation?"
Could we really be missing the obvious hints here?
What do you think "G" stands for in G3, G4...but "Generation!"
G1=601 PPC
G2=604/603/603e
G3=750
G4=7400
...and now what would be the NEXT Generation, hm?
