Unix apps are coming over to the Mac X.
Does 'Gimp' work on 'X' natively?
Or do you need to install another Linux for PPC OS to get you going?
Saw Gimp on X86 Linux a few years ago. It looked okay...
Opinions?

It tells you how to install xdarwin, fink, WindowMaker, and GIMP.
Amazing, first time Scott doesn't troll I agree with what he said: if it's cheap graphic utilities you're after, go with GC. If it's expensive graphic apps you're after, Photoshop is the way, no doubt.
There was talk of a cocoa front-end for the GIMP but it disappeared ... shame.
Mr. phd, maybe some people want to experiment with UNIX, and installing the GIMP is a good way to try it out. Sure, GraphicConverter is there, along with some other apps, but maybe people just want to get there feet wet in UNIX.
